After many problems over the past few months with my current Windows XP PC I have ordered a Core i5 2500K based machine from Chillblast. Details I have listed when I joined this forum. Two older peripherals could cause problems since I have opted for the 64 bit version of Windows 7 Home.
Epson Scanner 1660 Drivers
I'm fairly sure I can get my Canon Pixma iP4500 to work OK but I am concerned that my scanner, an Epson Perfection 1660, will give problems. Epson do not provide a 64 bit driver although there is a third party driver for Vista which should work but I have read reports of people not having any success with it. Does anyone know of anyone who has successfully installed this scanner on WIndows 7 64-bit?
Alternatively I would welcome suggestions for a work-around. I hope to avoid replacing the scanner as it works beautifully and does everything I need including copying colour photos virtually perfectly.
